Version
From JISC Standards Catalogue
It is imperative that you, the users of the JISC Standards Catalogue Web site, can deep link to individual standards. This means that the URI structure and the persistence of URIs is of great importance. This is why there are actually two 'parallel' sites running at the same time.
Current Version
One site is the current version of the site and entries are stored under http://standards.jisc.ac.uk/catalogue.
Dated Version
The other site is a dated version of the site (using the ISO date format) and entries are stored under http://standards.jisc.ac.uk/catalogue/yyyy-mm-dd/ e.g http://standards.jisc.ac.uk/catalogue/2007-04-27.
If users would like to link to a permalink of an entry they should use this version.
The url can be found by clicking on the permalink button.

A permalink is a URL that points to a specific page/entry even after it is no longer current. This ensures that you are linking to specific, dated information.
